🧓 About the Client
The client is an elderly woman who does not have dementia and enjoys good conversation and companionship. She is mobile with the assistance of a walker, but is considered a fall risk, so supervision and support are essential. While she is incontinent, she is able to toilet independently, though her sheets will need to be changed daily due to nighttime accidents.
She may ask you to drive her car for grocery shopping or doctor appointments, so a valid license and clean driving record are required. The client also has one cat, so you must be comfortable with animals and willing to clean the litter box as part of your responsibilities. She experiences difficulty putting on pants and shoes, so assistance with dressing her lower body is required.
Please note: Only female caregivers will be considered for this position based on the client’s personal care preferences. Additionally, a COVID-19 vaccine and booster are required to ensure safety for both caregiver and client.
📌 Responsibilities
- Assist client with dressing, primarily her lower body (pants and shoes)
- Support mobility and fall prevention around the home
- Change bed linens daily due to incontinence
- Assist with light housekeeping, including laundry and maintaining a clean home
- Prepare meals and support healthy eating routines
- Drive the client to appointments or errands using her vehicle
- Clean the cat’s litter box and maintain general pet cleanliness
- Provide companionship and monitor for changes in condition or behavior
✅ Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Female caregiver only (per client’s personal care requirements)
- Legal U.S. resident
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years)
- Fingerprint clearance through the Department of Social Services (Live Scan)
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Able to remain attentive and assist a fall-risk client during the shift
- Comfortable working in a home with a cat and performing related pet care duties
